Help pick this seasons rides!

True to the original reason for this sites existence, I’m actively soliciting feedback on what rides you’d like to go on this season. If you have a suggestion for a single day or weekend ride (typically a single overnight stay) then add a comment to this post with your suggested route and sleeping spot (for weekenders).

I’ll keep a running tally of upcoming and suggested rides in the “Upcoming one-day and weekenders” section of the menu on the right-hand side of this page. Alright – let’s get started.

I’ll get it started. I’m thinking we should do a 2 day ride out to Nelson, BC starting in Calgary and heading West to Bragg Creek.

The main reason I want to do this ride this summer is the last stretch of the 3A, which is rediculously twisty and runs lake side for an hour and a half.

We could break in Creston or push right through to Nelson, spend the night then hit the 3A early the following morning.

As an add on to your Nelson route. If on the second day you accounted for an extra 2.5 hours you could go Nelson to New Denver and then take the 31A highway to Kaslo. That road is 46km of wickedly twisty road.

A very large section of it has just been repaved and is smooth like butta!!
